A BIT ABOUT ME

I began guitar at 10, inspired by my dad always playing and singing songs at home.  Until then I’d been keen on acting but realised quickly that for me, music was far more exciting.  Midway through Year 10 my High School Gifted and Talented Music Program was still not enough music for me so I took an educational detour to TAFE completing a Diploma of Music Performance and progressing onto WAAPA as a Bachelor of Music student.  I expanded beyond guitar, becoming competent in a number of instruments.I now spend my days surrounded in music as a teacher and administrator, performer, songwriter and singer (not just in the shower) and I continue to invest in my own musical development. I created Palmer Music at the start of 2022 drawing on my experiences as a teacher and administrator from four music schools.  My lesson style is slick yet gentle, helping students explore their own musical interests with great results.  I specialise in contemporary styles bringing a 'music is fun' philosophy into every lesson.​  Sam
